Small Development in Salcombe

This fantastic dwelling was contracted alongside Stonecourt at the same time for two separate clients. They were built using Nudura ICF as the fabric material, which has given a quality solid shell with great energy-efficient performances.

The windows and sliding doors were made by Origin.

The heat pump was a 12 kW NIBE F2040 running a full wet underfloor heating system. This was backed up with a 300-litre cylinder. In addition, there have been 18 integrated solar PV panels installed on the roof.

The fire is run by LPG gas.

The dwelling is clad externally with a natural Purbeck stone, Dryvit through colour render system, and clad with Si-ox-treated Siberian larch.

The landscaping was finished with 20mm porcelain paving throughout, polished concrete pads, and crushed limestone chippings.

The garage door is an up-and-over design by Horman which was then cladded with the Si-ox create Siberian Larch.

The team is thoroughly proud of the outcome, completing the project in 15 months.

The process from design through to completion was managed brilliantly by Jake on site, and the quality of workmanship from all your trades and recommended subcontractors was excellent.

We were particularly impressed with the flexibility and open-mindedness of everyone when the inevitable minor problems with design or cost were encountered. Suitable design alternatives were suggested where necessary, and communication with you and Jake was clear and professional throughout regarding changing costs and the limited availability of some materials during such a volatile period. We can’t imagine how difficult this whole process would have been without having your broad knowledge and experience to benefit from.

The team’s capacity to think outside the box and problem-solve demonstrated their clear understanding of our desired outcomes, and what they have produced is a testament to the effort and skill of everyone involved. Everyone who visits us is blown away by the design and aesthetic of the house as well as the quality of construction. Living here is amazing given the thermal efficiency of the ICF construction, and the southerly elevation has ensured the PV and air source are extremely efficient too, keeping electricity bills to a minimum.

We would wholeheartedly recommend Lilburn and Elliott to anyone wishing to build their own home.
